Children, make sure you follow these three simple rules when using the internet:

  1. Always ask an adult's permission before using the internet.
  2. Never give out personal information, such as your name, address, school or telephone number.
  3. If a website asks you to type in your name or email address, check with an adult first.

For more tips, see Internet safety for children.

Practical advice is the name of the game here with topics including
budgeting, earning money, need vs want, giving to charity and student loans. We also like the business angle, talking through two friends setting up a business and making a profit.

Managing Your Money
This certainly isn't what I usually read, but I can't deny it's usefulness. It's about how to save, raise and manage money all put in an easy to read context full of pictures. As an older reader already managing my own pocket money, I found the sections about credit cards and interest intriguing and well explained. For younger readers, there is plenty to see, and older readers will also find the book interesting .

I loved this book. I found the interest and budget chapters quite intriguing and interesting. In this book you learn what a budget is, what interest is and how to manage your money. I would recommend it for children aged 9 to 13.
