Jenna's original s’more
Ingredients
- Chocolate
- Marshmallows
- Graham crackers
Although Graham crackers (pronounced “gram crackers”) are popular in America, they’re not widely available in the UK, but fear not! Simply substitute digestive biscuits instead.
What you do
- Break cracker in half
- Place chocolate on one half
- Toast marshmallow over campfire (the fun bit!)
- Place gooey marshmallow on top of chocolate so chocolate starts to melt
- Add other half of cracker on top to make a kind of sandwich
- Enjoy – yum!

Banana Boats
Ingredients
- One banana
- Mini marshmallows
- Chocolate chips
- Tin foil
What you do
- Slice a banana lengthways (not all the way through). Don’t take off the skin.
- Stuff the crack with marshmallows and chocolate.
- Wrap in foil and cook over coals until all chocolate and marshmallows are melted.
- When it’s done, put it on a plate and use a spoon to eat it out of the skin. Be careful – it will be hot!
Pineapple Upside-down Cake
Ingredients
- Plain cake doughnuts
- 1 can pineapple slices
What you do
- Cut each doughnut in half like a bagel.
- Make a sandwich by putting one slice of pineapple inside each cut doughnut.
- Wrap in foil. Place in hot campfire coals for about 5 minutes – be sure to turn it at least once.
- Eat while warm. Yum!
Singing Apples
Ingredients
- Apples
- Cinnamon
- Sugar
What you do
- Spear an apple on a strong stick or kebab skewer.
- Cook apple over hot coals until skin is burned and the apple “sings”. (Be careful that your stick doesn’t catch light! It helps if you soak it in cold water first.)
- Remove from fire and wait for apple to be cool enough to touch.
- Carefully peel off cooked skin. Roll apple in cinnamon and sugar and eat – careful, it may still be hot!
