World Book Day 2012

World Book Day, held in the UK on March 1st, is a worldwide celebration of books and reading. On World Book Day, publishers, booksellers and schools work together to encourage children to explore the pleasures of reading and owning books.

School children are entitled to receive a World Book Day £1 Book Token (or equivalent €1.50 Book Token in Ireland and Europe). The Book Token can be exchanged for one of eight specially published World Book Day £1 Books, or is redeemable against any book worth £2.99 or more in participating bookshops.
