Great Expectations

Great Expectations

"I really enjoyed this book as it was full of emotions and details. My favourite character was Pip because he was a nice person and very brave in trying to resue Miss Havisham. It was a sort of sad ending."

Wuthering Heights

Wuthering Heights

"Wuthering Heights is a love story which is also sad in places. The story is set over two hundred years ago in Yorkshire. My favourite character was Cathy who is the main person in the story. I liked this book because it has lots of good descriptions of the characters and the places in the story. The family tree at the beginning of the book is really useful. I also liked all the illustrations which show pictures of the clothes they wore in the olden days.

I would rate this book **** (four stars out of five).

Wuthering Heights

Wuthering Heights

"Wuthering Heights is set in the olden days in Yorkshire and it is a love story about the characters called Heathcliffe, Cathy, Edgar, Isabella and their children Catherine and Linton. It is quite a long and complicated story that was difficult for me to understand. It was a bit boring at the start but once I got into it, it became quite interesting because the excitement started. I would recommend it to someone to read if they were a bit older than me."

Children's chocolate cookbook

Children's chocolate cookbook

"I'm young child still in primary school. I love cooking so when I got this book (for my birthday) I was so happy. This not only teaches you to bake, but also gives facts about chocolate and how it becomes what it is on your plate. I've already cooked many things from this book and they turn out very well. It varies in its recipes; don't worry if your allergic to nuts etc because this book can help.

Flowers colouring book

Flowers colouring book

"This is the perfect adult colouring book for those who may not have the memory or lack confidence of how to put colours, shades and hues together. I have been using the book with a client who many, many years ago did some painting - she is loving 'doing her artwork' now and retreats to her work in the evenings. It gives her something joyful to do!"

First thousand words in Hebrew

First thousand words in Hebrew

"I chose this book to get me started on the road to speaking and reading Hebrew. With a thousand words under my belt it has helped immensely when moving onto grammar and sentence construction. I recommend this book as your starting point.

My kids were highly amused to be seeing me reading what they thought was a child's book. I got quite a few looks on the London Underground too! Don't be put off by the child friendly appearance. Everyone has to start somewhere. How many words do you know in Hebrew?"

Magical stories for little children

Magical stories for little children

"Interestingly this title is recommended for age six, but I bought it to read to my two year old and she absolutely loves it. The illustrations are fantastic, the stories uncomplicated and amusing. She particularly loves the Magic Porridge Pot and it's a definite bedtime favourite! I never tire of reading these stories. Recommended."

The Little Book of Farmyard Tales

The Little Book of Farmyard Tales

"With fantastic illustrations, the stories in this book are great for toddlers. My two year old daughter loves the characters in these stories and can tell you all their names. She loves choosing which story I should read her from the index page and likes to talk about the pictures and find the ducks as well as listen to the story! This book comes out daily and due to its compact size is great for putting in a bag if you need something to entertain whilst out and about - highly recommended."

The little book of first experiences

The little book of first experiences

"My two year old daughter loves this book. It's full of brilliantly illustrated stories about different experiences - going to the dentist, the doctor and on a plane to name just a few. It's a great way of familiarising toddlers with the many new experiences that they will come across and it appeals to their curiosity about new situations. I can't recommend this one enough. You will read this one over and over again!"

Tales of King Arthur

Tales of King Arthur

"These legendary tales of knights and nobility in ancient Britain, rivetingly retold for today's readers, remain as fresh and exciting as the day they were first written. From The Sword in the Stone to The Lady in the Lake, these stories bring to life the fantastic characters of Camelot; the wise wizard Merlin, the gallant Sir Lancelot, the wicked Morgan le Fay, and the beautiful Queen Guinevere."

Make this castle

"We thought that the castle model was very intricately designed and detailed. We are looking forward to the others in the series. We use our lego mini figures to make up stories and it gives you a good sense of what castle life was like back then. We both would highly recommend it to crafty people."

"I first came across this book in the library of the school I teach at. The pupils loved the book and it was of great help in subjects such as Geography. Since then I have bought it for my nephew and he loves it. The book is full of detail and colourful pictures, presented in such a way which makes it appealing to the youngest child."
