The "Secret" Series: Book 2
If You're Reading This, It's Too Late
by Pseudonymous Bosch
“Like Lemony Snicket with a little Monty Python.”
LA Weekly
“Bursting with inventive characters and laugh-out-loud moments.”
Love Reading 4 Kids
Pseudonymous Bosch is a pseudonym, or as he would prefer to call it (because he is very pretentious), a nom de plume. Unfortunately, for reasons he cannot disclose, but which should be obvious to anyone foolhardy enough to read this book, he cannot tell you his real name. But he admits to a deep-seated fear of mayonnaise.

Rest assured, this is no standard story dressed up in a quirky, novelty fashion. Yes, the design of the book and the narrator's odd approach both add up to make this book a most individual one, but the adventure at its core is more than enough to satisfy the target audience.
The Book Bag
I can assure you, reader, that this is a story worth reading. It is exciting, pacy and full of action. Fans of Lemony Snicket will enjoy the dry sense of humour and fans of Anthony Horowitz will love the mystery. Suffice to say that it is a thrilling sequel and should be read after the first book. It is well written, and despite its size very easy to read. It will have appeal to reluctant readers once they see that the type face is large, the text is short and snappy and that it has very odd ideas, for example moving backwards through the chapters! Everything about this book is unusual but it is exciting, gripping and a fun read that I thoroughly recommend.
Write Away
Cass and Max-Ernest make a welcome return in the second book in the 'Secret' series. As with its predecessor, the success of this book lies in its playfulness. The frequent placement of footnotes adds irreverent and direct addresses to the reader. Aping the gothic horror tradition, it successfully draws upon those literary traditions whilst also satirizing them, guaranteeing readers an inventive and stylish read.
Books for Keeps
This story is another tale of the supernatural, full of threats of doom, mystery and magic. The story is lengthy with many characters and complications and with quirky footnotes and asides from the author. Readers are given a 'binding contract' to sign at the end and this is all part of the mystery which all young readers will enjoy.
School Librarian Journal
This is the quirky, original and deliciously dark sequel to the hilarious "The Name of This Book is Secret". Bursting with inventive characters and laugh-out-loud moments, readers will be instantly hooked once more by the stylish storytelling of Pseudonymous Bosch.

Absolutely Mind-shatteringly Brilliant
Mr. Bosch is, in simple terms, a genius. He keeps me on the edge of my seat...literally! When I'm reading Mr. Bosch's books, my mum always tells me not to slouch and to sit back but I can't, that's how brilliant and on-the-edge his books are! I can't seem to put it down!

Recommend this
I found this book to be very interesting because the author involves you in the story and he’s always a step ahead of you, there's no way you can know what will happen next. Once you start this book you can never stop. The plot is mysterious with lots of riddles and puzzles that Cass and Max have to solve. In some parts is also a bit scary but I enjoyed it a lot. I would recommend this book to everyone.

: )
I think it's really awesome and creative and even though I signed a contact in the beginning I still like to figure out more about the characters and things in this book and blab about how people should read it, cuz I just can't help it. P.S. to Doyley, it's not more for boys at the end, girls like action too. We're not just boring creatures that sit around and get freaked out by the tiniest things. Cass is a girl and she isn't freaked out by adventure any more than Max-Ernest and Yo-Yoji. Sorry, but I just really had to point this out cuz I'm big into woman's(and girls) rights.

I loved this book.I found it amazing, I really liked the bits where Cass, Max-Ernest and Yo-Yoji get so close to being found and killed. I would definitely recommend this book to people who can keep the secret. I would give it 4 stars out of 5.****

If you're reading this it's too late
This is a great book!! The plot has a lot of twists and turns, with Cass and Max-Ernest getting in some tight situations! Great for any child over 10 years old. However it's more suited to boy as there is a lot of fighting at the end. It also involves a 54cm tall, 500-year-old, food devouring Homunculus monster named Cabbage Face. I rate it 9 out of 10.
