The Dinosaurs Next Door
I bought this book for my son when he was 5 years old and it was his first "chapter book". He absolutely loved the story because it featured dinosaurs, but also introduced concepts such as inventions and scientists. Now that he is a "young" 6 year old and starting to read by himself he absolutely loves reading the book - at bedtime he reads chapters to me.
