A popular addition to the best-selling First Thousand Words language series, these books are an excellent way to encourage language learning for beginners. With 1000 everyday words combined with pictures, this is a valuable vocabulary building tool for young children or for beginners of any age. Kids are able to associate the Polish words with the pictures at the same time as seeing how to pronounce them. This really helps with long-term learning. The book also includes a fun game to search out the yellow duck on every page!

Brilliant book for toddlers as young as 20 months
I am a mother of 2 years old boy. We are Polish but live in US and it is my responsibility to expose my son to Polish. "First thousand words in Polish" is one of his favorite books for a couple of months already. It broadens his vocabulary but more over is fun to play with. You can look for familiar objects, try to find anything in particular color, make noises like an animal you point at etc. The ways to read this book are endless! So instead of having books about colors, animals, things that move, shapes etc. you just need this one for years to come. Just brilliant!

1000 words in Polish
This book is a brilliant resource. I am teaching English to some Polish children and learning Polish from them at the same time.I bought 1000 words in English for the children and this book for myself. We read a topic together, taking turns and swapping languages. Great fun and it works! Thank you Usborne.
