Awards

Practical Pre-School Silver Award 2009
The award is decided by Practical Pre-School product testers, who said of "That's not my puppy": "This book had immediate appeal for all the children. It is great for a wide age range as the babies enjoy the pictures and textures and the older children enjoy reading the words themselves and developing their vocabulary. It was also good for raising awareness of differences and similarities. It retained appeal for the children throughout the testing period."

Prima Baby Reader Awards "Best Buy" 2004 and 2006
Usborne That's not my... Touchy-feely books were voted Best Buy in the Toddler Book Category of the Prima Baby Reader Awards in 2004 and 2006.

Press Reviews

Absolutely lovely series of touchy-feely books. Great illustrations and nice textures.
Warwick Books Newsletter
With everything from 'angel' to 'truck', there's sure to be a subject to fascinate your little one from this touchy-feely range. With myriad textures, it's a great concept, and a really lovely presentation.
Waterstone's Guide to Kids' Books 2008
A simple idea that has stretched to all kinds of themes. Chunky boardbooks with textured pages take a child through a simple narrative: “That's not my dinosaur/teddy/dolly/tractor”. And on each page there's a reason why not - like bumpy skin, shiny hair ties, squashy wheels, until eventually we arrive at the right item. As well as the touchy-feely experience, the basic vocabulary repetition is a valuable - and enjoyable - early learning tool.

Reader Reviews

LOVE IT!!!
My little girl (14 months) loves this series. She is slowly collecting them. This one has a great range of 'feely bits'. The sand paper paws are her favourite to scratch (much to my dislike!!hehe):)

That's Not My Bunny...
My daughter is now 18 months old and this whole series of books is by far her most prized possession. Her absolute favourite is That's Not My Bunny.... (we actually have both the old version and the current edition), whereas my wife and I favour That's Not My Monster.... They are robustly put together, and are holding up to all the enthusiasm my daughter can throw at them. The best testimony I can give is that at Christmas she opened each one, sat down and read each several times to the exclusion of opening further presents, or playing with wrapping paper or boxes. Absolutely brilliant.
