Some books were just made for sharing! And if they give a child the confidence to read alone, it will be a major step on their road to independence. So Usborne have come up with the ideal solution – a series of exciting and beautifully illustrated books specially developed to offer a structured and methodical programme of reading. Whether you are a parent, a carer or a teacher, you can be sure that the Very First Reading books will turn learning into an adventure.

Very First Reading boxed set with slipcase
Ideal for teaching your child how to read in English. We live in Austria but my children are bilingual and as they attend an Austrian school I used the set to teach my son how to read in English. After the set he was able to read by himself. It was so rewarding because it did not take him too long to finish one book any he was so proud whenever he had finished one. At the moment I am using the set for my 6 year old daughter - we are already half ways through and she is equally proud whenever she has mastered one! I think the puzzles at the end are a fun way for revision. I can truly recommend that series, not only the set but also the additional stories of the Very First Reading series.
