Press & Blog Reviews

I have really struggled to review this book because it is forever being taken by one of the children to look through! I think it is fair to say that the children have found this engaging but simple tale of Mrs Bunn having a baby and how this affects the family an absolute delight and totally compelling to read again and again.
Part of the excellent Usborne First Experiences series, this book, along with two other titles, has been reissued with stickers. The stickers are used in the story to replace words, so are excellent to use on a no-to-one basis (or as a group experience) to fully involve the child in the story from start to finish. In addition to the stickers, there is a duck hidden on each page for children to find, thus extending the book’s life further. At just £3.99 this would make a charming gift or resource to use with any child expecting the arrival of a sibling.

Child Care
There's absolutely no jealousy or sibling discontent in this First Experiences sticker book. Follow the story of a happy family as they prepare for the arrival of their new baby, as the baby is born and comes to meet its big brother and sister. There are word and picture stickers to place in blank spaces in the story, plus reward stickers and things to spot on each page of this cheery little book which helps familiarize children with the events surrounding a new arrival in the family.

Loved It
This was a great way to introduce my two year old to the idea he was having a baby sister. He loved finding and putting the stickers in the right places. We still read this story now that baby sister has arrived. It was very relevant and useful.
