Reader Reviews

Great for adults too!
I bought this book as I am 19 and attempting to learn Spanish. Its colourful, easy to read format makes it perfect for picking up vocab and the easy to use pronunciation guide at the back of the book is fab. Brilliant, can't wait to order my German and French versions.

Usborne's 'First Thousand Words in Spanish'... Excellente!
The day my niece said her first word, I thought: "Great! Now's the time to teach her Spanish!!" I love the language, and wanted to share my knowledge with my family. Obviously, it is not easy to get a 3 year old to do grammar exercises, so I looked for some inspiration in my local book shop. 'First Thousand Words in Spanish' has wonderful, funny illustrations, and clear text. My niece loved using it, and her Spanish improved in leaps and bounds! I would recommend this book to any parent, teacher, or aunt (like me!) who wants to inspire their little ones to engage with a language - or even to learn themselves!!
