Rome wasn’t built in a day, but a replica model will be! Arm yourself with scissors and glue to recreate Viking settlements, Roman villas and medieval villages packed with accurate historical detail – why not start with a 14th century castle or a Greek temple?

making wizard castle
We had great fun building Wizard Castle. It's full of spooks, skeletons and a busy wizard. We particularly like the dragon chamber with the creepy attic. And the cave in the mountain base where "rip jaws" hides out. Soon we're going o purchase another model from Usborne probably the Egyptian Temple and we will let you know how we get on.

Make this Wizard's Castle
Five years ago I made the gatehouse and found it quite hard. My mum did most of that bit but this half-term I dug out the dusty building which had been hastily pushed into the corner of my bedroom, and carried on. Now I'm better at it and sped through the rest of it in one week. My mum did the cutting and sticking and I worked out how the pieces went together and folded them. I think the whole thing looks super and we were amazed at the detail put into designing each building. Today we finished it and I am surprised at its size.

Wizard's Castle
I bought the Wizard's Castle and the Wild West Fort models, my daughter and I spent a great weekend making these models, they are excellent, the instructions are easy to follow and my daughter was delighted with her castle and it looks fantastic. We have purchased more models and my daughter wants the whole collection, now we just need somewhere to put them all!
